How can you tell the difference between a pimple on your lip and a cold sore?

because i have one and im worried|||either one will resolve with time, but the primary difference is that a pimple is a bacterial infection that produces pus, while a cold sore is a viral infection and will not produce pus. A cold sore produces a large water filled blister, or many small ones, while a pimple (that usually doesn%26#039;t form on the lips) is a hard knot that when squeezed will produce pus.|||they actually both feel the same when their coming in, but a cold sore will start to spread and if you mess with it at all it will protrude from your lip and then fill up with liquid. what you need to do is buy abraiva and keep it in your wallet if you feel that itch come on immediately put some on, even if it is a pimple at least you don%26#039;t chance it, because an untreated a cold sore can last up to 2 freakin%26#039; weeks!|||I dont think you can get pimple on your lip...so therefore its most likely cold sore or cankersore. if the sore located deep underneith your lower or upper lip with white small circle in the middle then its cankersore. you can buy abesol gel at walgreen or riteaid or market which works great.|||if you have a cold sore medication and you put it on your pimple or coldsore and the coldsore or pimple went away . that was probably a coldsore .
